Confessions of a Food Addict (About)

Hey there, I’m James.

From October 2009 to May 2010, I trained for and ran my first half marathon. In the process, I lost 65 pounds.

Then I gained it all back.

See, I’m a food addict. I have an unhealthy relationship with food. And when I allow it to get out of control, this happens:


That’s me at close to my heaviest, before I started my first weight loss journey. It’s also the same weight I found myself when I started writing this blog.

This blog chronicles my journey back to physical fitness and back to loving the world of running again. My goal right now is to lose weight and train for my 7th half marathon, in which I hope to have a PR (my previous PR for the half is 1:53.06).

As of right now, I’m 4 weeks into my journey and I’ve lost 12.1 pounds.

I’m 55.4 pounds away from my goal weight of 177 pounds.

I have 31 weeks until my half marathon.
